Welcome to The Human Evolution Blog, a site maintained by Professor Nathan Lents, of John Jay College at The City University of New York (CUNY). Here you will find regular posts by Professor Lents and invited guest contributors, including outstanding student work, discussing recent findings in the study of the evolutionary origins of Homo sapiens sapiens. Humans have long been preoccupied by the questions of where we came from and why we are the way that we are. Only in the past few decades has science begun to pull back the curtain and provide real answers to those questions. I look forward to discussing this with you.
